Nimrat Singh

Nimrat Singh serves as the Director of People Operations at Room to Read India. She brings over 20 years of extensive experience in capacity building and human capital management across diverse sectors, including non-profits, start-ups, and operationally stable organizations. In her current role, Nimrat oversees key functions such as talent acquisition, employee engagement, learning and development, compliance, and compensation, aligning workforce strategies with Room to Read’s mission of transforming lives through literacy and gender equality in education.

Before joining Room to Read, Nimrat held leadership positions at prominent organizations like Bharti Foundation, Grameen Foundation India, Reliance Retail, Airtel, and Hyper Quality, where she demonstrated her expertise in talent acquisition, leadership development, policy design, and strategy formulation. As Chief Human Resources Officer at QBOID IOTECH, she spearheaded initiatives in organizational certification and compliance, playing a pivotal role in securing the Great Place to Work certification.

Nimrat is recognized for her ability to align HR practices with organizational goals, build talent pipelines, and implement HR management systems like DarwinBox. She has also pioneered performance management frameworks that enhance productivity and employee engagement. 

Nimrat holds a PGDM in HR from Symbiosis Institute of Management Studies and is a certified NLP Leadership Coach. Her dedication to human capital development drives operational excellence and long-term growth at Room to Read India.
